MKI Impulses were sold in the US from 1981 -1989 and MK II- from 1990-1992. The RS version for the MKI Im pulse was ONLY offered in 1987. The MKIIs also had an RS during 90-92   A better, tighter suspension and better body paint were the main differences. In 1988-1989, Lotus would ‘add handling’

This was my 2nd bought car at 16. Non turbo with a manual trans. Rear wheel drive. $400 hoon  mobile in 1992. The key said “Imported by Dodge”.
